“Our little guy is already proving he’s made of similar stuff and is determined to make the most of life.” Unlike his namesake, this Harry was rejected by his mother, Hilda, so the calf is being hand-reared by the sanctuary’s staff. He gets bottle-fed every three hours, and will continue to receive round-the-clock care for the next three months. Pygmy hippos are critically endangered in the wild, with fewer than 3,000 remaining. ”
