Why is Game of Thrones so addictive?
Well … we hope it is. George designed the books that way, literally—they were crack on paper to us—and we have been trying to follow suit. There’s no great secret—it’s just about continuing to raise pressing questions about characters you care about, as you answer others. All things remaining equal, a life-or-death cliffhanger is going to mean more when the person hanging from the cliff is someone you’ve known for dozens of hours instead of just one. And when “death” is a real possibility.
- D.B. Weiss, Game of Thrones showrunner
❝ I’m totally an anxious mess all the time. There’s a constant dialogue going on in my brain, and it’s just reminding me of all the failures that I have had, and all of the things I need to do, and all of the things I’m not doing good enough. ❞
A rare early 18th century Memento Mori band gold known as a skeletal, as the whole length of the skeleton is employed on the outside of the hoop, with other emblems. The earliest known example is dated 1659. This ring is enamelled in black with a full skeleton, twin hearts for love and an hourglass, symbolic of the passage of time and the brevity of life.

I know. You were wondering.
It’s comments like these that makes me wish I didn’t leave my headphones at home. The work day is three times longer without music and YouTube videos.
